Pocket HRMS Company: Who Makes It?
Pocket HRMS began in 2004 as a desktop payroll tool called Pocket Payroll. It became Pocket HCM in 2008, moved to the cloud in 2015, and was renamed Pocket HRMS in 2017, when the Android and iOS apps arrived.
According to its About page, Pocket smHRt Tech Pvt. Ltd. was set up in 2023 as a separate company from its parent, Greytrix India Pvt. Ltd. The site lists offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
Pocket HRMS Login: Which Portal Should You Use?
Pocket HRMS has three entry points. Using the wrong one is the most common reason a login fails.
The official site also has a single Login button at pockethrms.com/login, which the help docs say covers both ESS and the cloud web login.
Pocket HRMS Employee Login (ESS Portal) Step by Step
ESS means Employee Self Service. It lets you handle HR tasks without asking HR each time.
- Open ess.pockethrms.com.
- Enter your Company Code, Employee Code and Password. HR sends these to you by email.
- Click Sign In.
- On first login, set a new password. Click the profile icon at the top right, choose change password, and enter the old and new passwords.
Pocket HRMS Admin Login (Cloud Portal)
HR or admin users sign in at cloud.pockethrms.com. Per the help docs, if you forget the cloud password, you get it from your HR, admin or management team. Admins can change their own password from the dashboard.
For HR: how to give an employee ESS access.
Employee → Employee List → open the profile → Self Service Role → select a role → Save. The system then shows a default password to share with the employee.
Where to find the Company Code:
Cloud portal → ESS Settings → Profile Info → Password Reset. The code is shown on that page.
Pocket HRMS Login Not Working? Quick Fixes
Pocket HRMS 2.0 App: Download and Login
The Pocket HRMS 2.0 mobile app is the newer employee app. Search “Pocket HRMS” in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and install the app from there. Pocket HRMS says the app is free to use, but it only works if your company uses the platform and gives you valid login details.
To see which version you have, log in, tap the three-line menu at the top left, and check the bottom of the menu. The docs advise keeping auto-update on so you do not lose features.
I could not find an official “what changed in 2.0” note in the pages reviewed, so this guide does not claim specific differences from the older app.

Pocket HRMS Attendance: How It Works
Attendance is a main selling point. The software supports several ways to capture it, so your company may use one or a mix.
For selfie attendance, you first upload three clear photos under Leave → Face Recognition. They go to HR for approval, and the feature only starts working after HR approves.

Payroll covers PF, ESIC, professional tax and TDS, based on the official pricing FAQ. Core integrations listed there include WhatsApp, Sage 300, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage X3, Xoxoday and ClearTax. Capterra also lists Tally on Cloud, so confirm that one with sales.
